Let me Tell you a Story…
If you’re looking for ideas for a public event, perhaps you’d like to book a talk and/or slideshow on wildlife photography. I’ve given dozens of lectures all around the world for clients including camera clubs, African safari lodges and even an Antarctic cruise company!
The timing, location and subject matter are down to you, and I only charge £250 (plus any expenses) for up to four hours of my time.
If you’d like an idea of what you’re getting for your money, you can watch this talk I gave to the Putney Women’s Institute in July 2021 (see below). If you like what you see, please get in touch on +44 7942 800921 or at nick@nickdalephotography.com.
The Photographer
I dreamed of becoming a photographer when I was 15, but my mother wanted me to go to Oxford instead—so that was that for 30 years!
Fortunately, I took up photography again in 2013, and I still love it just as much. If you fancy hearing a few traveller’s tales, I have plenty to tell, including shooting the Northern Lights at -37°C and being chased by a black rhino in Kenya…!
The Subject
I’m a wildlife photographer, and I have thousands of images of animals and birds to show you, from leopards in Africa to polar bears in the Arctic and penguins in the Antarctic.
I can tell stories of close encounters with bears, gorillas and elephants while also talking about the appropriate technique or equipment or rules of composition for each shot.
The Location
I spend a lot of time in Africa, and I’ve been on over 500 game drives and boat rides there. However, I've been lucky enough to set foot on all seven continents, and every one has its own distinctive landscape, wildlife and inhabitants.
If you have a particular interest in one special part of the world, such as the Galápagos, Svalbard or the Antarctic, I'd be happy to tailor my talk for you.
